The cherished Ramadan tradition for Indonesia’s tech community returned with fresh energy in 2026. Hosted at BBPVP Bandung (Balai Besar Pelatihan Vokasi dan Produktivitas Bandung) on March 8, 2026, Lailatul Coding 2026 convened under an inspiring banner: “Deploy Kebaikan dari Hati” (Deploy Goodness from the Heart).
While past editions focused on conventional hackathons, Lailatul Coding 2026 embraced a transformative paradigm of the artificial intelligence era: Vibe Coding (AI-Augmented Software Development). From late afternoon until the pre-dawn sahur meal, ideas, energy, and a shared dedication to giving back fused together to build meaningful technological solutions.

As a speaker and mentor, I had the privilege of guiding attendees through the ongoing evolution of software engineering. Today, the gap between conceptual vision and live deployment has shrunk drastically thanks to intelligent AI assistants.
Vibe Coding is not about abandoning foundational engineering logic; rather, it elevates the developer’s core role from tedious line-by-line syntax wrangling toward sharp problem definition, architectural direction (prompting & orchestration), and critical code curation.
